About noon we came to Aberdare, just as the bell was ringing for a burial. This had
brought a great number together, to whom, after the burial, I preached in the church. We
had almost continued rain from Aberdare to the great rough mountain that hangs over the
vale of Brecknock; but as soon as we gained the top of this, we left the clouds behind us. We
had a mild, fair sunshiny evening the remainder of our journey.
Friday, 7.--We reached Garth. Saturday, 8. I married my brother and Sarah Gwynne. It was a solemn day, such as becomes the dignity of a Christian marriage.
